Father beats, kills son who wanted to work to help family

MALACCA: A teenager, believed to have been beaten up by his father because he wanted to get a job to help the family, was found dead in his room in Kampung Jaya, Alor Gajah on Sunday.

Alor Gajah District Deputy Police Chief Supt Abd Rahman Jid said the victim, Muhamad Hafiz Abd Ghani, 17, reportedly had an argument with his father, 52, in their house at about 5pm Saturday.
