Sarawak DAP's Bukit Assek rep Wong Ho Leng dies



PETALING JAYA: Bukit Assek assemblyman Wong Ho Leng of Sarawak DAP passed away due to cancer.

According to the party, Wong passed away at 10.50pm on Saturday.

Wong, 54, was diagnosed with a brain tumour in January last year. He was the state DAP chairman and Opposition leader before he fell ill.

He underwent treatment in Singapore earlier this year and had been receiving palliative care at the Rejang Medical Centre in Sibu.
