19 Perodua vehicles destroyed in evening blaze

MALACCA: Fire broke out at a compound to store Perodua vehicles in Jalan Mufti Hj Khalil Bukit Palah here, destroying 19 of the more than 200 new and used cars kept there.

When the firemen arrived, the blaze was at its peak and they faced problems dousing the flames as the cars were parked very close to one another, state Fire and Rescue deputy superintendent (operation) Kamarul­zaman Mohd Din told reporters.
