The deceased, identified as Teoh Cheng Cheng, 38, apparently converted to Islam 17 years ago. Her Muslim name was Nora Teoh Abdullah (pix).
Family members and relatives were stunned when the officers arrived at about noon while the funeral rites were being conducted. The funeral procession was scheduled for later in the day.
