Fallen hero ASP Mohd Zabri, IGP head King’s honours list


PUTRAJAYA: The late ASP Mohd Zabri Abdul Hamid, a fallen hero in an operation to flush out communist insurgents in 1975, and Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar headed the list of 1,622 recipients of Federal awards and medals conferred by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah on Saturday.

Mohd Zabri, VAT 69 Commando platoon commander, was killed when he stepped on a booby trap, received the Seri Pahlawan Gagah Perkasa (S.P.) award while Khalid was bestowed with the Darjah Panglima Mangku Negara (PMN) which carries the title Tan Sri.
