Hearing of Malaysian couple held in Sweden for alleged child abuse today


STOCKHOLM: The hearing of a Malaysian couple under remand in Sweden for alleged abuse of one of their four children is reportedly scheduled for later today at the Solna District Court in Stockholm.

Deputy Foreign Minister Datuk Hamzah Zainuddin who made a brief visit to Sweden and met Azizul Raheem Awalludin and his wife Shalwati Norshal, said the couple were in good health and had agreed to have their four children transferred to the care of a Muslim family which the Malaysian embassy here had helped to find.
