Agencies to resolve maid issue

RECRUITMENT agencies in Malaysia and Indonesia have been given the task of resolving the maid supply problem following an agreement on the matter between Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

To resolve the long-standing issue, the Prime Minister proposed to Susilo that the Malaysian Association of Foreign Maid Agencies (Papa) and its Indonesian counterpart, Asosiasi Perusahaan Jasa Tenaga Kerja Indonesia (Apjati), be asked to work on a Memorandum of Understanding on maids.
