Solomon Islands PM calls on Najib


PUTRAJAYA: Solomon Islands Prime Minister Gordon Darcy Lilo paid a courtesy call on Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak at his office at the Perdana Putra Complex here.

The two prime ministers discussed issues of bilateral interest in the 30-minute meeting yesterday.

Also present were Solomon Islands Foreign Minister Clay Forau Soalaoi and Solomon Islands High Commissioner to Malaysia Victor Samuel Ngele.

Malaysian Foreign Ministry deputy secretary-general Datuk Ramlan Ibrahim and special adviser (international relations) to the Prime Minister, Datuk Mohammad Kamal Yan Yahaya, also attended the meeting.

The visit of the Solomon Islands Prime Minister is in conjunction with the opening of the country’s high commission office in Malaysia yesterday.

He is scheduled to fly home today. — Bernama
