JOHOR BARU: The Road Transport Department (JPJ) plans to call for volunteers to assist its officers in monitoring road traffic during the Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
According to JPJ director-general Datuk Ismail Ahmad, 1,800 of its men will be stationed at 72 accident-prone stretches nationwide, and it hopes to boost this surveillance strength by roping in volunteers.
