At the awards ceremony, Crystal also charmed the audience by greeting them in Malay, Japanese, and Cantonese and Shanghai dialects.
The Russian movie, Major, won the Best Film award.
This year, 14 films were selected from among over 1,600 entries for the final competition.
> Kwang Wah Yit Poh reported that a gang of thieves openly carted away valuables from a house in Butterworth.
The neighbours had thought that the owner was moving out.
The theft occurred at 1pm last week in a residential area.
A neighbour told the daily that he saw the robbers taking away furniture, including a sofa, television and amplifier, from the house.
However, the neighbour did not try calling the house owner to verify this as he did not have her phone number.
He also said that he did not really know his neighbour.
“We saw a woman staying in the house and sometimes, we hear the voices of children.
“We learned that her husband has a business in another place so he hardly comes back,” he said.
The woman, who came back after the robbers left, was shocked to find her house empty.
