KUALA LUMPUR: PLUS Expressways Berhad (PLUS) has advised motorists to follow its North-South Highway Travel Time Advisory (TTA) for Wesak Day and the school holidays ending June 9 to avoid unnecessary congestion.
PLUS chief operations officer Mohammad Fuad Khusairi said the TTA had helped maintain smooth traffic flow during the previous festive season.
“We advise people heading back to their hometowns to adhere to this schedule,” he said in a statement yesterday.
Vehicles with registration plates ending in odd numbers for all routes via the Johor Causeway, Linkedua and Penang Bridge are advised to enter the highway at odd hours such as 9am, 1pm and 7pm while those ending in even numbers should start off at 10am, 2pm, 8pm and so on.
Further details on the TTA may be obtained at the toll-free PLUSline 1800-88-0000 or PLUSTrafik Twitter page. — Bernama
