Khalid Abu Bakar new IGP, Bakri Zinin deputy IGP from Friday (Updated)

KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Khalid Abu Bakar will replace Tan Sri Ismail Omar as the new Inspector-General of Police (IGP) effective Friday.

The Prime Minister's Office, in a statement issued on Tuesday, said Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department (CID)director Datuk Seri Bakri Zinin will take over as the new deputy IGP, effective the same day.
