Sentence on 3 who faked Michael Soosai’s death upheld

KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court here Friday upheld the conviction and sentence meted out by a lower court against three men for faking the death of a wanted criminal, Michael Soosai.

He ordered the three men to serve their jail sentences beginning Friday.In upholding the conviction and sentence, judge Kamardin Hashim dismissed the appeal by former Kuala Lumpur Hospital attendant K. Subramaniam, 36, scrap metal trader V. Sanjeev Kumar, 37, and J. Kumaresan, 31, on grounds that there was no merit in their appeal.
