PETALING JAYA: Twenty-three-year-old political science student Mohamed Bukhairy Sofian has withdrawn from contesting in Pekan against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
Bukhairy, who is part of student group Gerakan Mahasiswa PRU13 (GM13), pulled out from the race early Friday, saying that as Pakatan Rakyat leaders had endorsed the Mahasiswa manifesto, he no longer wanted to run.
