Home Ministry lifts Hindraf ban

PETALING JAYA: The Government has lifted the ban on Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf).

It is understood that the Registrar of Societies wrote to Hindraf chief P Waythamoorthy on Friday informing him that the Home Ministry had rescinded the order under the Societies Act 1966, issued on Oct 14, 2008, which had gazetted Hindraf an illegal organisation.
