PETALING JAYA: The Government has lifted the ban on Hindu Rights Action Force (Hindraf).
It is understood that the Registrar of Societies wrote to Hindraf chief P Waythamoorthy on Friday informing him that the Home Ministry had rescinded the order under the Societies Act 1966, issued on Oct 14, 2008, which had gazetted Hindraf an illegal organisation.
The letter said the Home Minister made the decision after reconsidering the organisation's appeal.
