Former dean fails to turn up in court again over divorce case


KUALA LUMPUR: The Syariah High Court here has warned the former Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia dean for failing to turn up in court for the second time in his appeal case to set aside the RM12,000 in costs ordered to be paid to his wife Sri Wani Choo Abdullah.

Sri Wani's syarie lawyer Mohamad Azrul Azhan Mohammad Jamil told reporters that the syarie judge Mohd Amran Mat Zain stressed that the court could not accept Prof Dr Bahrom Sanugi, 61, last minute reason on this issue.
