PETALING JAYA: Penang Deputy Chief Minister 1 Datuk Mansor Othman brushed off a television news report which played a recording believed to be him uttering words that described Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng as “cocky and arrogant”.
The television news report aired a voice recording last night, said to be Mansor, uttering the words during a meeting.
“How much did the station pay to obtain the recording?” Mansor said when contacted last night.
Mansor, who is Penang PKR chairman, had allegedly uttered the words angkuh (cocky) and sombong (arrogant) to describe Lim during a closed-door party meeting in March to discuss preparations for the general election.
He had also allegedly remarked that Penangites viewed Lim as a tokong (deity).
The words, allegedly recorded in the minutes of the meeting, were first published in a blog called Gelagat Anwar on June 16, 18 and 19.
The DAP were left seething over Mansor's words, with state party chairman Chow Kon Yeow saying it “viewed with concern” Mansor's remarks.
