PUTRAJAYA: The Road Transport Department (JPJ) is enforcing with immediate effect the use of a statutory declaration instead of MyKad certified by a Commissioner of Oaths in the transfer of vehicle ownership.
Transport Minister Datuk Seri Kong Cho Ha said this was decided after a discussion between JPJ and the Registrar of Federal Court following feedback from vehicle owners and used vehicle operators.
