Saudi columnist deported; court order to prevent action too late

PETALING JAYA: Saudi Arabian newspaper columnist Mohammad Najeeb A. Kashgari, who allegedly posted several tweets that insulted Islam, has been deported to his country, where he could be executed for the offence.

Federal police assistant director of management (public relations) ACP Ramli Mohamed Yoosuf said Kashgari, who is also known as Hamza Kashgari, was deported Sunday morning.
