KUALA LUMPUR: A locally-produced Tamil movie, Ops Kossa Dappa 3 - the final Dappa, will make its debut in local and international cinemas in mid-June.
Its director K. Annan said the movie, produced by ATV Pictures, would be the first Malaysian Tamil movie to be screened in cinemas in Malaysia, India and Singapore.
He said the action-comedy film, the sequel to 4SS Ops Kossa Dappa and 4SS Ops Kossa Dappa 2, is about a group of secret agents who do silly things but end up saving the world.
“The title Ops Kossa Dappa literally means Operation Empty Box',” he said.
The movie will feature both local and international stars such as Afdlin Shauki, Fasha Sandha, Jasmine Michael and Amber Chia, as well as Kollywood artistes Priyanka Korthari and Kadhal Thandabani.
Annan said the movie, which is being shot at various locations around the country, cost RM1.3mil.
The movie is endorsed by the Information, Communications and Culture Ministry, RTM, Finas and Tourism Malaysia.
