S’gor royalty heads list

SHAH ALAM: Tengku Muhamad Yusof Shah Sultan Ala'eddin Suleiman Shah, a member of the Council of the Royal Court of Selangor, heads the list of award recipients in conjunction with the 66th birthday of the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah.

Tengku Muhamad Yusof Shah, who holds the title of Tengku Aris Temenggong Selangor, is the sole recipient of the Darjah Kerabat II.

Three people will receive the Darjah Kebesaran Seri Paduka Mahkota Selangor (SPMS) award which carries the title Datuk Seri while Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Khalid Abu Bakar is the sole recipient of the Darjah Kebesaran Datuk Setia-Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (SSIS), carrying the title Datuk Setia.

The three SPMS recipients are Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Mohd Sidek Hassan, navy chief Admiral Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Jaafar and Sunway Group deputy chairman and pro-Chancellor of Sunway University College Datuk Razman M. Hashim.

Sultan Sharafuddin will also bestow the Datuk Paduka Mahkota Selangor (DPMS) award on 16 recipients and the Darjah Kebesaran Datuk-Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (DSIS) on 16 others. Both awards carry the title Datuk.

Among the DPMS recipients are state executive councillor Datuk Dr Hasan Mohamed Ali, Malaysian High Commissioner to Britain Datuk Seri Zakaria Sulong, Selangor chief Syariah Court judge Mukhyuddin Ibrahim, Selangor police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Tun Hisan Tun Hamzah, Meteorological Department director-general Dr Yap Kok Seng, and Perak police chief Deputy Comm Datuk Mohd Shukri Dahlan,

The recipients of the DSIS awards include Selangor Islamic Affairs Department director Marzuki Hussin, Universiti Teknologi Mara law faculty dean Assoc Prof Saudah Sulaiman and football legends Datuk Santokh Singh and Khaidir Buyong.

Fifteen people will receive the Setia Mahkota Selangor (SMS), 15 the Darjah Kebesaran Setia-Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (SIS) and 15 the Darjah Kebesaran Ahli Mahkota Selangor (AMS).

There are 21 recipients of the Darjah Kebesaran Ahli Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah (AIS) and 10 recipients of the Bintang Perkhidmatan Cemerlang (BPC).
