Malaysia in top 20 list of safest countries

KOTA KINABALU: Malaysia is in the top 20 list of the safest countries in the world according to a survey by an international research institute on peace and security.

Deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Khalid Abu Bakar said the country had been ranked 19th among 153 countries in the latest Global Peace Index (GPI) report by the Institute for Economics and Peace (IEP) this year.
