Hutan Melintang rep ejected from Perak state assembly

IPOH: The mundane start to the Perak state assembly Tuesday turned chaotic when Hutan Melintang assemblyman S. Kesavan was suspended from the assembly for failure to follow Speaker Datuk R. Ganesan's orders.

The commotion occured when Ganesan ended the one-hour oral session, prompting Kesavan to voice his unhappiness.

"I am an elected representative to voice the people's woes but my questions were not answered," he said.

Kesavan chose to ignore Ganesan's instruction to sit down, leaving the Speaker with no choice but to evict the assemblyman.
