KUALA LUMPUR: Sports may be given a weightage of 5% for SPM and STPM students to enter public institutions of higher learning.
Deputy Education Minister Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong said under the current system, selection is based on 90% for academic achievement and 10% for co-curricular activities comprising sports, uniformed bodies and associations.
