Gifted Child Recites Poem
KUALA LUMPUR: Gifted child Gloson Teh recited a poem he wrote to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor at their residence in Taman Duta here yesterday.
The 11-year-old started his own blog www.glosonblog.com last year and has just published a book on poems called Creative and Funny Poetry for Kids.
“I find it fun to write and I like to make people laugh,” said the SK USJ 20 pupil, who was accompanied by his businessman father Wilson Teh and bio-chemist mother Khoong Sau Leng at the recital.
Najib and Rosmah were amused by Gloson, who danced and mimed as he recited his poems, which were backed by songs the boy composed on a piano.
Khoong said Gloson started to read in English and Mandarin when he was a year old and was introduced to computers at the age of two.
“By eight, he started to build websites. I don’t put a lot of emphasis on his studies. In fact I have never seen him do revision at home but he is always top of his class.”
