KUALA LUMPUR: Independent Power Producers (IPPs) in the country have enjoyed gas subsidies totalling some RM35.7bil between May 1997 and March this year.
Deputy Minister in Prime Minister’s Department S. K. Devamany said it was thus not true that the IPPs were enjoying gas subsidies amounting to RM78bil, as claimed by Lim Guan Eng (DAP - Bagan).
