KUALA LUMPUR: Part-time singer Stacie Angie Anam beat four other contestants to win the Akademi Fantasia Season Six here last night.
Stacy, 18, as she is known, impressed judges Ning Baizura, Fauziah Datuk Ahmad Daud and Adlin Aman Ramlie with her moving renditions of Atas Nama Cinta and Aku Stacy at the grand finals held at the Putra Stadium in Bukit Jalil.

She took home RM733,734 worth of prizes in cash and in kind, which included a four-room bungalow at A'Famosa Villa D'Lagos, Malacca (RM550,000), a Peugeot 307 XS (RM139,535), RM25,000, holiday packages to South Africa (RM8,000) and New York (RM10,000), a Sony playstation (RM1,199) and a trophy.
Second place went to Mohamed Idris Zaizizi, 32, from Perak, who won RM15,000 and a Naza Bestari (RM68,877), holiday package to South Africa (RM8,000), holiday voucher (RM3,000), and Sony PlayStation (RM1,199) . Third was Ahmad Nubhan Ahmad, 22, from Negri Sembilan, who took home RM10,000 and other gifts.
The fourth placed performer was Khirul Nizam Baharum, 31, from Johor Baru, who won RM5,000 and other gifts, while Nadia Haswani Hasnan, 18, from Kuala Lumpur was placed fifth.
Hosted by A.C. Mizal, the three-hour show before a packed audience at the 6,000-seat stadium saw each of the five finalists performing two songs – a cover version and a new song.
