Datuk Seri title for Perlis MB


KANGAR: Perlis Mentri Besar Datuk Dr Md Isa Sabu leads a list of 327 recipients of awards and medals in conjunction with the Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Syed Putra Jamalullail’s 65th birthday today.

Dr Md Isa, 61, will receive the Seri Paduka Mahkota Perlis (SPMP) award, which carries the Datuk Seri title.

Receiving the same award is Unity, Culture, Arts and Heritage Minister Datuk Mohd Shafie Apdal.

Kuala Lumpur police chief DCP Datuk Muhammad Sabtu Osman and Terengganu police chief SAC 1 Datuk Ayub Yaakob will receive the Dato’ Wira Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail (DWSJ) award, which carries the Datuk Wira title.

Former Rural and Regional Development deputy minister Dr Tekhee @ Tiki anak Lafe is among 11 recipients of the Dato’ Paduka Mahkota Perlis (DPMP) award which carries the Datuk title.

The others receiving this award are Drainage and Irrigation Department deputy director-general (Development) Nordin Hamdan, Perlis police chief DCP Datuk Ghazali Md Amin, Perlis state finance officer Musa Hassan, Federal Police secretary SAC 11 Azian Yahya, Brig Jen Jayabalan Sinnadurai of the Royal Malaysian Army and corporate figures Datuk Yeoh Soo Min, Dr Chang Kian Meng, Dr Othman Omar, Charon Wardini Dr Mokhzani and Wan Nordin Che Morat.

Five people will receive the Dato’ Setia Paduka Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail (DSPJ) award, which also carries the Datuk title.

They are Tuanku Fauziah Hospital (HTF) director Dr Faiz Ahmad Khan Wakil Ahmad Khan, lawyer Rajasekaran Murugiah, former Perlis state executive councillor Mohd Zain Hamzah, scientist Dr Proom Promwichit and Education Commission secretary Datin Wan Khazanah Ismail.

Businessman Raja Razman Raja Rome is the sole recipient of the Dato’ Panglima Sirajuddin Jamalullail (DPSJ) award, which also carries the Datuk title, while Istana Arau protocol officer, Hamzah Abdullah is the sole recipient of the Dato Bergelar award, which carries the Dato Setia Bentara title. – Bernama
