PENANG: Hawkers have started setting up stalls to sell vegetarian food for the Nine Emperor Gods festival (Kew Ong Yeah), which starts Thursday.
Madras Lane Vegetarian Stalls Committee president Lee Eng Kok said many people were going on a 10-day vegetarian diet to get more blessings from the deities.
