Pak Lah on one-day visit to Kelantan

KOTA BARU: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi will be on a one-day visit to Kelantan today. 

A statement from the Kelantan Federal Development Department said Abdullah was due to receive the Darjah Kerabat Yang Amat Dihormati (DK) at an investiture ceremony in conjunction with the 56th birthday of Sultan of Kelantan Tuanku Ismail Petra Ibni Almarhum Sultan Yahya Petra. 

The Sultan will present the award to Abdullah at Istana Negeri, Kubang Kerian, at noon. 

A previous recipient of the award is former prime minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, in conjunction with the Sultan's 52nd birthday. 

After the ceremony, the Prime Minister will have a meeting with Kelantan Umno leaders before leaving for Kuala Lumpur. – Bernama
