FOLLOWING an announcement in Sri Lanka that Thirukarthikai, an auspicious day in the Hindu calendar, will be celebrated there on Dec 15, Tamil Nesan reported that the festival will be observed two days earlier in Malaysia.
Quoting the Malaysia Hindu Sangam, the paper said there had been several enquiries from temples and the public about the date.
