KUCHING: Sarawak’s famed estuarine terubok fish, which is highly sought for its delectable flesh and eggs especially during Ramadan, is in danger of going extinct.
Authorities have given the dwindling populations of terubok in Sarawak, believed to be the last stronghold for the fish in the country, 10 years before they disappeared from their remaining estuarine habitats.
