PENANG: The temporary disruption of the Penang Hill funicular train service on Saturday evening – the day it was re-launched after being closed for eight months – was due to a malfunctioning of the coach sensor system.
State Tourism Committee chairman Teng Chang Yeow said the technical problem, which caused some 100 tourists to be stranded for two hours at the hilltop had been rectified.
