PETALING JAYA: Umno leaders vying for the three vice-presidents' posts should be prepared to be out of the supreme council if they lose as the president is not obliged to appoint all of them into the policy-making body.
One of the contenders for the post, Datuk Shahrir Samad, said it was thus up to each candidate to decide whether to contest for only a vice-president's post or to also stand for a seat on the 25-member supreme council as an “insurance.”
