Queen heads awards list

KOTA BARU: The Raja Permaisuri Agong Tuanku Fauziah Tengku Abdul Rashid headed a list of 426 recipients of various awards from the Sultan of Kelantan in conjunction with his 54th birthday yesterday. 

The investiture ceremony was held at the Istana Balai Besar here at 8am. 

Tuanku Fauziah was awarded the Darjah Kerabat Yang Amat Dihormati (DK). 

Of awards carrying the title “Datuk”, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, wife of the Prime Minister Datin Paduka Seri Endon Mahmood and armed forces chief Jen Tan Sri Mohd Zahidi Zainuddin were conferred the Ahli Yang Kehormat Yang Pertama (Seri Paduka) Bagi Darjah Kebesaran Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Mulia (SPMK). 

Science, Technology and Innovations Minister Datuk Dr Jamaludin Jarjis, former Information Minister Tan Sri Khalil Yaakob and Second Finance Minister Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop were conferred the Ahli Yang Kehormat Yang Pertama (Seri Paduka) Bagi Darjah Kebesaran Jiwa Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Mulia (SJMK). 

The sole recipient of the Ahli Yang Pertama (Seri Paduka) Bagi Darjah Kebesaran Kesateria Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Perkasa (SPKK) was Royal Malaysian Air Force deputy chief Lt-Jen Datuk Nik Ismail Nik Mohamed. 

Recipients of the Ahli Yang Kehormat Yang Pertama (Seri Paduka) Bagi Darjah Kebesaran Kesateria Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Perkasa (SPKK) were RMAF chief Jen Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad, armed forces Chief of Staff Lt-Jen Datuk Adenan Mohamad Zain and army chief Jen Datuk Wira Mohd Azumi Mohamed. 

Kelantan State Secretary Datuk Tengku Shah Buddin Tengku Mohd Maasum and Universiti Malaya Vice-Chancellor Professor Datuk Dr Hashim Yaacob were conferred the Ahli Yang Pertama (Seri Paduka) Bagi Darjah Kebesaran Setia Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Terbilang (SPSK). 

Selangor police chief Datuk Mohd Noor Hamat and Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Ng Yen Yen received the Ahli Yang Kedua (Datuk Paduka) Bagi Darjah Kebesaran Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Mulia (DPMK). 

New Straits Times Press group chief editor Datuk Kalimullah Masheerul Hassan was awarded the Ahli Yang Kehormat Yang Kedua (Datuk Paduka) Bagi Darjah Kebesaran Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Mulia (DPMK). 

State Legislative Assembly Speaker Abdul Rahim Wan Abdullah and two former state executive councillors, Abdul Ghani Abu Bakar and Mustafa Yaakub, were awarded the Ahli Yang Kedua (Datuk Paduka) Bagi Darjah Kebesaran Jiwa Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Mulia (DJMK). 

National News Agency (Bernama) chairman Datuk Mohd Annuar Zaini was among seven awarded the Ahli Yang Kehormat Yang Kedua (Datuk Paduka) Bagi Darjah Kebesaran Jiwa Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Mulia (DJMK). 

Eighth Brigade commander Brig-Jen Datuk Zulkifeli Mohd Zin was awarded the Ahli Yang Kedua (Datuk Paduka) Bagi Darjah Kebesaran Kesateria Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Perkasa (DPKK). 

Brig-Jen Datuk Md Hanif Darimi of the RMAF and armed forces dentistry director Mej-Jen Dr Mohamad Termidzi Junaidi were conferred the Ahli Yang Kehormat Yang Kedua (Datuk Paduka) Bagi Darjah Kebesaran Kesateria Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Perkasa (DPKK). 

The Ahli Yang Kedua (Datuk Paduka) Bagi Darjah Kebesaran Setia Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Terbilang (DPSK) was awarded to nine people.  

The final two recipients of Datukships were Putrajaya Urbanisation Development Department director Annies Md Ariff and Fisheries director-general Junaidi Che Ayub, who were conferred the Ahli Yang Kehormat Yang Kedua (Datuk Paduka) Bagi Darjah Kebesaran Setia Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Terbilang (DPSK). 

Bumiputra Commerce Bank Berhad senior vice-president Mustafa Ibrahim and Chiang Li Chian were conferred the Ahli Yang Ketiga (Taulan) Bagi Darjah Kebesaran Jiwa Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Mulia (JMK). 

PCB Resort director Subramaniam Nachiappan was awarded the Ahli Yang Kehormat Yang Ketiga (Taulan) Bagi Darjah Kebesaran Jiwa Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Mulia (JMK). 

The Sultan also appointed four Justices of the Peace (JP)– P. Raman Nair Sdn Bhd director Eh Ain @ Chandra Sekaran Rama Nair, Kesuma Murni Sdn Bhd managing director Ramli Awang, Bismu Enterprise general manager B. Subramaniam and Kelantan People’s Action Council secretary-general Datuk Mohd Ariffin Abdul Hamid. – Bernama
