KUALA LUMPUR: Sisters in Islam (SIS) is playing a crucial role in efforts to free the nation’s Muslim women from the shackles of communal prejudices, said Datin Seri Dr Siti Hasmah Mohd Ali. 

The group, she said, was doing this by propagating principles of equality, justice, freedom and human dignity synonymous with those in Islam.
