Historic visit by Schroeder to boost ties

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian-German relations are set to enter a new phase when German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder makes a historic visit to Malaysia tomorrow. 

As the first German Chancellor to arrive here, Schroeder has chosen Kuala Lumpur to be his first stop in his six-day Southeast Asian tour covering Singapore, Jakarta and Hanoi.
