KUCHING: A small lifeboat saved the lives of 11 Indonesian crew members from a cargo ship that sank in rough seas about 18 nautical miles off Kuala Tatau in Bintulu Division early Wednesday.
The crew, including the vessel's captain, endured a 20-hour ordeal in stormy seas before landing near the Kuala Balingian river mouth in Mukah Division at about 1.30am yesterday, said Tatau police chief Asst Comm Jopeni Junaidi.
