KUCHING: The Royal London Circus’ biggest-ever show, featuring 76 animals and 47 performers from 14 countries, will be staged at the Batu Kawah township here beginning Jan 29.
The performance will be a multi-million ringgit production, said the circus president and producer Paul Lee.
He said the shows would feature acrobatic acts by artistes and performances from dancers and trained animals, which included lions, tigers, elephants, dogs, cats and chickens.
“Each show will last for two-and-a-half hours in an air-conditioned tent that has over 5,000 seats,” he said after handing over the site from sponsor MJC City Development Sdn Bhd.

Lee said the chartered vessel for the circus which transported 1,500 tonnes of equipment arrived here yesterday.
There will be 12 shows a week for a month. Three shows daily will be put on during the Chinese New Year period.
He said tickets would be priced at RM25, RM35 and RM50 while children below 1m in height would pay RM10 each.
