COME April 21, 2025, students across Malaysia will see a new addition to their uniform: the Jalur Gemilang badge.

In line with a directive from the Education Ministry, all students in government schools, government-aided schools, matriculation colleges and teacher training institutes will wear the national flag badge on the right side of their uniform, aligned with their name tag. Each student will receive two government-issued badges, which must remain unaltered and free of embellishments.
