The students from public and private higher education institutions within the state armed themselves with spades, hoes, buckets, gloves and plastic bags to clean up the beaches and areas in Kampung Teluk Awak and Kampung Teluk Bahang during the gotong-royong.

Deputy Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Hilmi Yahaya, who is also Balik Pulau MP, flagged off the participants at the Penang National Park recently.
