Temple board told to remove structures by Dec 31

Growing concern: The temporary structures blocking the facade of the Goddess of Mercy Temple in Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling have been left there for almost three years.

THE Kong Hock Keong board of trustees has been given until Dec 31 to bring down the temporary structures at the Goddess of Mercy Temple in Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling, Penang.

State Local Government, Traffic Management and Flood Mitiga-tion Committee chairman Chow Kon Yeow said the trustees had appealed to the Penang Munici-pal Council to be given time until Dec 31 before they bring down the temporary porch and fence.
