KUCHING: Better facilities such as road condition, electricity and water pipes are needed for the numerous longhouses located in Nanga Lemanak near Engkelili, Sarawak.
The Nanga uyau lemanak longhouse is located more than three hours by car from Kuching, through bumpy, steep and winding roads. This road is the only means of getting in and out for more than 10 longhouses in the area. River transport is no longer safe due to soil erosion from uncontrolled logging.
