MOSQUES in Penang should be empathetic towards the poor and should set a good example by being of service to the less fortu-nate, said State Secretary Datuk Seri Farizan Darus.
He said although a few mosques had started certain programmes, such as serving food on particular days to the poor, more should follow suit.
