FIVE food factories have been slapped with temporary closure orders for unhygienic food production.

The five that were issued with a 14-day notice from the Penang Health Department on Tuesday were a soy sauce processing factory in Jelutong, a noodle factory in Kepala Batas, and three factories producing bread, fried onions and potato chips in Bukit Merta-jam.
