LIKE a guide dog that helps the blind, your dog can join an animal-assisted therapy programme to help senior citizens, autistic children, the physically handicapped and others.
Dr Dog Malaysia voluntary trainer Sue Yeap said anyone can let their dogs join the programme provided the pets are at least two years old and will remain composed and placid even if complete strangers crowd around and play with them.
