Council will now use tranquilliser darts to catch stray dogs


THE Penang Municipal Council (MPPP) has introduced tranquilliser guns as an alternative to catch poles in the capture of stray dogs.

MPPP Stray and Abandoned Dogs Committee chairman S. Sukumar said the council had two Standard Tranquilliser Rifle Unit 11m Bore Barrels which had been authorised by the Bukit Aman and state police for usage.
