SMK SERI Kembangan marked its 50th year of moulding and grooming the future generation with a celebration dinner.

“I’m proud of our achievements over the past 50 years.

“With the help of everyone, we successfully managed to upgrade the school’s infrastructure,” said SMK Seri Kembangan principal Tay Keng Lee.

Tay said the school is known for its well-disciplined students.

Also present at the dinner, which was held at Restaurant Hee Loi Ton, was the school’s Parent-Teacher Association president Datuk Teo Geck Heng.

“I’m happy that the school has managed to prepare its students to do well in extra-curricular as well as academic activities and to be successful in life,” he said.

Teo hoped former students would continue to support the school.

During the dinner, students also entertained guests with singing, dancing and live theatre performances.

Datuk Liew Yuen Keong represented Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong at the event.

Liew pledged to support the school’s activities and hoped more alumni would support the school, both financially and morally.
