IT was a nostalgic trip down memory lane for many at the Church of the Assumption in Farquhar Street, Penang, during the reenactment of the arrival of Captain Francis Light.

The founding father, acted by Henry Pedley, read out a proclamation to take formal possession of Penang which he later renamed it ‘Prince of Wales Island’.
