CONSPIRACY theories are floating around that at least RM70mil worth of logging contracts had already been given out by state authorities to certain powerful figureheads to extract timber from the ulu Baram area earmarked for the building of the Baram dam, even though the environmental and social impact of the mega project had not even been made public.
